FC DallasvsSt. Louis CITY SC
DAL 3/STL 3
Things to say
FC Dallas and St. Louis CITY SC played to a 3-3 draw at Energizer Park.
01
opener
Six goals and nobody wins, that's soccer for you. St. Louis threw it away at home, three-all. Wild one.
02
key player
Roman Bürki made four saves in goal and it still ended three-three. Tells you everything about that back line in front of him.
03
hot take
St. Louis has no business giving up three at home. That's two dropped points they'll want back come playoff time.
04
deep cut
Dante Polvara had sixteen defensive interventions and they still leaked three. Guy was cleaning up all night and got nothing for it.
05
exit
Both sitting at nine-seven-six now, dead even. Should be a fun stretch run out West.
The recap
Six goals split evenly, nobody blinks: Dallas and St. Louis traded punches all night and walked away with a 3-3 draw.
It was end-to-end stuff, and Roman Bürki had to make four saves just to keep his side level. Both teams sit at an identical 9-7-6 record now, which tells you these two really are mirror images.
Wild game, but if you had one nil-nil bet, tear it up.
