Arizona DiamondbacksvsAtlanta Braves
ARI 10/ATL 3
Things to say
The Diamondbacks beat the Braves 10-3 on the road at Truist Park.
01
opener
Man, Arizona just went into Atlanta and put up a ten-spot. Ten to three, wasn't even close by the middle innings. That's a rough one for the Braves on their own field.
02
key player
The whole heart of that D-backs order was locked in — they left the yard early and never let up. Ten runs on the road, you can't ask for more than that.
03
hot take
Braves are 73-50 and still got run out of their own building. That pitching staff needs to be a lot better than that come October.
04
deep cut
Atlanta only scratched across three, and Arizona's a sub-.500 team at 66-58. When you drop that game at home, that's the kind of loss that lingers.
05
exit
Anyway, we'll see if the Braves bounce back next one — they gotta shake this off quick.
The recap
Arizona rolled into Truist Park and just teed off, hanging a 10-spot on Atlanta to steal this one 10-3. The bats came alive early and never let up, and once the heart of the order got rolling the Braves couldn't get anybody out to slow the bleeding.
Atlanta's three runs were an afterthought by the time the pen was airing it out in a game that was already decided. Getaway-day beatdown, plain and simple, and the Snakes head home feeling real good about themselves.
