The Phillies threw a party at Citizens Bank Park, jumping on the Dodgers early and never letting go in a 10-7 slugfest. This was a bat-first night — the heart of the order kept the line moving and the ball kept leaving the yard, which was more than enough to cover for some shaky work out of the pen.
LA's arms couldn't slow it down, and every time the Dodgers threatened to climb back in, Philly answered right back. On paper the Dodgers are the better team at 63-38, but on this getaway day the Phillies flat-out outhit them.
