San Francisco GiantsvsAtlanta Braves
SF 7/ATL 5
Things to say
Giants beat the Braves 7-5 in Atlanta.
01
opener
Yeah, Giants stole one in Atlanta last night, 7-5. Braves looked flat at home. San Fran kept chipping away and Atlanta never really answered.
02
key player
Whoever was hitting in the middle of the SF order got into his stuff — they put up seven on the road at Truist, that doesn't happen by accident.
03
hot take
Braves are 46-27 and still letting a sub-.500 team walk into their park and take it. That's a vibes problem, not a talent problem.
04
deep cut
Atlanta's manager went to the pen too early again. The starter had it, and the bullpen handed the lead right back.
05
exit
Anyway, we'll see if the Braves bounce back tonight — getaway day usually tells you who's actually locked in.
The recap
Giants snuck into Truist and walked out with a 7-5 win — not bad for a club sitting twelve games under. Atlanta's lineup is supposed to be the heart-of-the-order nightmare, but San Francisco's bats answered every time the Braves pushed across a run.
Feels like the manager went to the pen too early and a couple of those relievers just didn't have it. Getaway-day baseball, and the underdog left the yard happy.
