Sporting Kansas CityvsColorado Rapids
SKC 0/COL 2
Things to say
Colorado Rapids beat Sporting Kansas City 2-0 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
01
opener
Rapids handled it, two-nil at home. Never really in doubt. Kansas City just couldn't string anything together.
02
key player
Paxten Aaronson was everywhere up top, five shots on his own. Kid's turning into their guy.
03
hot take
SKC are done. Four wins all year and a clean sheet against them is basically free. Rough season.
04
deep cut
Nico Hansen barely broke a sweat, three saves and a clean sheet. Colorado's back line did the work for him.
05
exit
Anyway, Rapids are climbing. Curious to see how they hold up on the road next.
The recap
Colorado took care of business at home, seeing off Kansas City 2-0 for a comfortable clean sheet. Paxten Aaronson was the busiest man on the pitch with five shots, driving the Rapids attack all night.
Nico Hansen barely broke a sweat between the posts but stood tall when needed. For a Sporting side sitting at 4-2-13, this was another quiet afternoon in front of goal and the same old story on the road.
