LA GalaxyvsHouston Dynamo FC
LA 0/HOU 1
Things to say
Houston Dynamo beat LA Galaxy 1-0 at home to stay red-hot at Shell Energy Stadium.
01
opener
Houston got the job done, 1-0 over the Galaxy. Clean sheet at home. They just look like a different team right now.
02
key player
Resch ran that midfield all night. Eleven defensive interventions and 65 accurate passes. LA never got settled through the middle.
03
hot take
LA's season is honestly shambolic. Five wins and they can't buy a goal. Kyogo's your Designated Player and he's firing blanks.
04
deep cut
Nobody put up more than three shots all game. This wasn't a barnburner, it was Houston just squeezing the life out of it.
05
exit
Houston's 11-2-6 now, that's a top-of-the-table pace. I'm watching where they land come playoff seeding.
The recap
Houston kept the good times rolling at home, grinding out a 1-0 win over a Galaxy side that just couldn't find the net. Guilherme Augusto led the way up top while Agustín Resch was everywhere in midfield, racking up 11 defensive interventions and bossing the tempo.
LA's Kyogo Furuhashi had his looks but nothing dropped, and Houston's back line slammed the door shut for the clean sheet. That's now 11 wins for the Dynamo, who look like a genuine problem in the West.
