Minnesota survived a rock fight in D.C., grinding out a 78-76 win that was way closer than their 14-4 record would suggest. Natasha Howard carried the load with a 21-and-15 double-double, doing her damage in the paint while the rest of the Lynx scratched and clawed for buckets.
Sonia Citron put on a show for Washington with 28, but she couldn't get quite enough help, and Shakira Austin's 16 boards weren't enough to flip the script. Two-point game, on the road, against a Mystics squad playing .500 ball, and the Lynx took care of business when it mattered.
