Minnesota LynxvsSeattle Storm
MIN 105/SEA 102
Things to say
The Minnesota Lynx beat the Seattle Storm 105-102 on the road at Climate Pledge Arena.
01
opener
Lynx went into Seattle and grabbed it 105-102. Came down to the wire but Minnesota just had more in the tank. They're a problem this year.
02
key player
Kayla McBride dropped 33 and was flat out cooking. She could not miss.
03
hot take
Storm are 6-22 and still hung with the best team in the league. That roster's better than the record says.
04
deep cut
Rookie Flau'jae Johnson went for 26 in a losing effort, and Awa Fam pulled down 11 boards. Seattle's young pieces are cooking.
05
exit
Anyway, Minnesota at 21-6 is rolling. Curious if anybody can slow them down next time out.
The recap
Minnesota went into Climate Pledge and walked out with a 105-102 win, and it was Kayla McBride putting on a clinic with 33 to carry the load. Seattle had no quit in them despite the ugly record, and Flau'jae Johnson answered with 26 buckets of her own to keep it a one-possession game late.
But the Lynx are 21-6 for a reason, and McBride had ice in her veins down the stretch to close it out. Storm took the L, but they made the best team in the league sweat for it.
