Minnesota LynxvsGolden State Valkyries
MIN 77/GS 66
Things to say
The Minnesota Lynx beat the Golden State Valkyries 77-66 at Chase Center.
01
opener
Lynx handled business on the road, 77-66. Golden State just couldn't buy a bucket all night. Minnesota's too deep and too disciplined right now.
02
key player
Olivia Miles ran the whole show, 20 and 7 dimes. She's playing like she's been in the league five years.
03
hot take
The Valkyries scoring 66 at home is a problem. That's not a bad night, that's who they are against real teams.
04
deep cut
Phee Collier only needed 8 boards to control the paint. She doesn't need to score to wreck your game plan.
05
exit
Minnesota's 30-7 and cruising. I'll be watching to see if anybody can slow them down come playoff time.
The recap
Minnesota walked into Chase Center and slammed the door, grinding Golden State down to 66 in a 77-66 road win. Olivia Miles ran the whole show with 20 points and 7 dimes, basically playing conductor while the Valkyries couldn't buy a bucket all night.
Napheesa Collier did the dirty work with 8 boards and Minnesota's defense turned the paint into a no-fly zone. Janelle Salaun's 15 was all Golden State could muster from anybody, and at 30-7 the Lynx look like the class of the league.
