The recap
Mariners walked it off in the tenth to edge the Mets 3-2 at T-Mobile, and it was the kind of grinder where both bullpens kept slamming the door until somebody finally blinked. With the game knotted at 2 through nine, Seattle's pen held the line in extras and the lineup cashed in the free runner — classic Manfred-ball, but a win's a win.
New York drops to 26-34 and you have to wonder if the manager went to the pen too early late in regulation. Mariners climb back over .500 at 32-29 and head home happy.
