Inter Miami CFvsNashville SC
MIA 1/NSH 4
Things to say
Nashville SC beat Inter Miami 4-1 at GEODIS Park.
01
opener
Yeah, Nashville absolutely paddled Miami, 4-1. Wasn't even close. Home crowd at GEODIS was rocking all night.
02
key player
Mukhtar was the difference. Seven shots, ran the whole attack. Miami had no answer for him.
03
hot take
Messi had 11 shots and one goal to show for it. Eleven. When your MVP can't drag you back into it, that's a Miami problem, not a Nashville one.
04
deep cut
Woledzi put up 10 defensive interventions at the back. Miami's keeper made four saves and still shipped four. Tells you all you need to know.
05
exit
Miami's gotta regroup fast, they're right back at it next weekend. We'll see if that's a blip or a trend.
The recap
Nashville absolutely hammered Miami 4-1 at GEODIS Park, and it wasn't as close as even that scoreline suggests. Hany Mukhtar ran the show with a game-high seven shots and pulled the strings all night as Nashville poured it on.
Messi did his part, firing off 11 shots, but he got zero help and the one Miami goal was a consolation at best. Four-nil could've been the story if not for a late Miami strike, so chalk this up as a proper Nashville statement and a rough night for the visitors.
