Inter Miami CFvsPhiladelphia Union
MIA 2/PHI 2
Things to say
Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami played to a 2-2 draw at Subaru Park.
01
opener
Union and Miami went end to end and split the points, 2-2. Philly threw everything at them at Subaru Park. Honestly a fair result, both sides earned it.
02
key player
Cavan Sullivan is a kid and he led everyone with four shots. The Union have something there, he was buzzing all night.
03
hot take
Messi had three shots and Miami still couldn't take three points. Casemiro's holding that midfield together more than anyone wants to admit.
04
deep cut
Dayne St. Clair made four saves to nick a point for Miami, Blake barely had to move at the other end. That draw's on the keeper as much as anyone.
05
exit
Miami's still top of the pile though, so we'll see if that dropped point bites them come playoff seeding.
The recap
Six points on the road slipped through Miami's fingers at Subaru Park, where Philly clawed back a share of the spoils in a 2-2 barnburner. Messi got his three cracks at goal but it was Andre Blake's opposite number, Dayne St.
Clair, doing the heavy lifting with four saves to keep Miami level. The Union kept punching, teenager Cavan Sullivan leading the line with four shots of his own, and refused to let the visitors nick it late.
In the end nobody could grab a winner, and both sides walked off sharing the points in a game that had a bit of everything.
