Minnesota United FCvsReal Salt Lake
MIN 1/RSL 1
Things to say
Real Salt Lake and Minnesota United played to a 1-1 draw at America First Field.
01
opener
Yeah, 1-1, they split the points. Back and forth all night but nobody could grab the winner. Felt like a game both sides will say they should've stolen.
02
key player
Drake Callender was the story in the Minnesota goal — seven saves. Dude single-handedly kept them in it, no question.
03
hot take
A draw flatters RSL, honestly. They had home field and Apple TV and still couldn't put away a Minnesota side sitting under .500.
04
deep cut
Watch Juan Arias — 71 accurate passes and thirteen defensive interventions. Quietly ran the whole midfield for Salt Lake.
05
exit
Anyway, a point apiece. We'll see if either of them can actually finish next time out.
The recap
Salt Lake and Minnesota split the points in a 1-1 draw at America First Field, and honestly Minnesota should be thanking Drake Callender for the point they walked away with. The keeper was busy all night, stacking up seven saves to keep RSL from turning their edge into a proper win.
Both sides found the net once and neither could grab the winner, so it stays level. A fair result, but RSL will feel like they left two points on the table.
