Cincinnati got the job done at home, edging NYCFC 2-1 in a scrappy one at TQL Stadium. Evander was the engine again, buzzing around and leading the way with five shots as Cincy did just enough to take all three points.
The real hero, though, was keeper Roman Celentano, who stood on his head with seven saves to keep New York at arm's length. NYCFC pushed and found the net once, but they couldn't beat Celentano twice and go home empty-handed.
