The recap
Boston went into Progressive Field and absolutely steamrolled Cleveland 9-1, which is not the script anybody had for a team sitting ten games under .500. The Red Sox bats woke up early and never let the Guardians breathe, and it sure looked like Cleveland's manager went to the pen too early trying to stop the bleeding.
One run of offense isn't getting it done against anybody, and the heart of the order went quiet on a getaway day at home. Ugly loss for a club that's supposed to be a contender in the Central.
