Royals went into D.C. on a getaway day and just took it to Washington, 6-2. Kansas City's bats got into the Nats starter early and never let him settle, while their guy on the bump cruised through the heart of the order.
Nationals manager went to the pen too early and it bit him, the bullpen couldn't stop the bleeding once KC pulled ahead. Royals needed a road win badly at 30-45, and this one was never really in doubt after the middle innings.
