Los Angeles SparksvsSeattle Storm

LA 90/SEA 74

WNBA League Pass/Spectrum Sports NetClimate Pledge Arena
Things to say

The Sparks beat the Storm 90-74 in Seattle.

01
opener
Sparks went into Seattle and just took it, 90-74. Never really close in the second half. Storm couldn't buy a bucket.
02
key player
Nneka Ogwumike put on a clinic. 23 and 12, ate them up in the paint all night.
03
hot take
Storm are 8-32 for a reason. That's not a bad night, that's just who they are right now.
04
deep cut
Rookie Malonga grabbed 15 boards for Seattle and it still didn't matter. When your best rebounder isn't scoring, you're in trouble.
05
exit
Anyway, Sparks are climbing. Let's see if they can keep it rolling next one.
The recap

Sparks rolled into Climate Pledge and handed Seattle another one, 90-74, and honestly it wasn't close down the stretch. Nneka Ogwumike ran the show with 23 and 12, an absolute clinic in the paint that the Storm had no answer for.

Flau'jae Johnson dropped 19 to keep Seattle breathing and rookie Dominique Malonga ate the glass up with 15 boards, but that's a lot to ask when nobody else is getting buckets. Seattle's now 8-32 and took the L, while LA keeps hanging around the playoff conversation at 15-25.
