Seattle StormvsPortland Fire

SEA 89/POR 94

WNBA League Pass/CW Seattle/Prime Video-SeattleModa Center
Things to say

Portland Fire beat the Seattle Storm 94-89 at the Moda Center.

01
opener
Fire took care of business at home, 94-89 over Seattle. Carleton was cooking all night and Portland just had a little more in the tank down the stretch. Storm hung around but couldn't get over the hump.
02
key player
Bridget Carleton dropped 24 and looked like she had ice in her veins every time Portland needed a bucket.
03
hot take
Honestly Seattle should've won that game — you can't let Malonga go for 28 and 11 and still take the L.
04
deep cut
Carla Leite quietly dished 10 dimes running the offense — rookie point guard with a double-double's worth of playmaking.
05
exit
Anyway, Storm are 3-13 now, that season's cooked. Curious what Portland does on their next road trip.
The recap

Portland took care of business at home, holding off Seattle 94-89 to climb back toward .500. Bridget Carleton was the engine with 24 buckets, and Carla Leite was dishing dimes all night with a clean 10 assists running the show.

Dominique Malonga went off for Seattle though, dropping 28 and a 11-board double-double, but she didn't have enough help and the Storm took the L. Sarah Ashlee Barker chipping in 6 boards from the wing kept Portland alive on the glass when it mattered.
