The recap
Kansas City handled its business at the K, jumping on Minnesota early and cruising to an 8-2 win that never really felt close. The bats did the heavy lifting, stacking runs against a Twins staff that couldn't find the strike zone when it mattered and left plenty out over the plate.
Once the Royals bullpen took over with a comfortable cushion, this one was academic. Minnesota just never got into a rhythm on a getaway day and heads home with a dud.
