MLB The marquee matchup tonight is Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago Cubs, with the Dodgers heavily favored on the road as they try to hold off a stacked NL wild card race down the stretch. Also keep an eye on Tampa Bay Rays at Colorado Rockies, where the thin Coors Field air and an 11-run over/under all but guarantee both bullpens will get taxed and somebody's starter gets into his stuff early. Milwaukee Brewers host Pittsburgh Pirates with the best record in baseball on the line, and if the heart of Milwaukee's order gets going against a shaky Pirates staff, this one could turn into a laugher fast.

WNBA The marquee tilt is Seattle Storm at New York Liberty, where a rebuilding Storm squad limps in as a massive underdog against a Liberty club that's been feasting at home. Don't sleep on Dallas Wings visiting Washington Mystics, a genuine tossup with Dallas somehow favored on the road despite the worse record, so expect buckets and a late dagger to decide it. Golden State's Valkyries should just eat the overmatched Tempo alive, a likely clinic rather than a nail-biter.
