Golden State ValkyriesvsSeattle Storm
GS 76/SEA 72
Things to say
Golden State beat Seattle 76-72 at Climate Pledge Arena.
01
opener
Valkyries pulled it out in Seattle, 76-72. Storm hung around all night but couldn't get over the hump. Golden State's just been the better team this year.
02
key player
Janelle Salaun went off again — 22 and 7. She's the real deal.
03
hot take
Hiedeman dropped 26 and Seattle still took the L. That tells you everything about the Storm right now.
04
deep cut
Veronica Burton quietly ran the show, 8 dimes. She doesn't need to score to wreck you.
05
exit
Storm are 3-12, this is gonna be a long summer for them. Anyway — who you got next?
The recap
Valkyries snuck out of Seattle with a 76-72 win, and Golden State keeps rolling at 8-5 while the Storm took another L to drop to 3-12. Janelle Salaun was the engine for GS, dropping 22 and grabbing 7 boards, with Veronica Burton dishing 8 dimes to keep the offense humming.
Natisha Hiedeman was an absolute problem for Seattle with 26 points, but she couldn't get enough help to push it across. Tight four-point game means somebody hit a dagger late, and GS had just enough buckets when it mattered.
