The recap
The White Sox stole one on the road, edging Cleveland 7-6 in a back-and-forth that came down to the final at-bat. Chicago kept clawing back every time the Guardians answered, and the offense did enough damage against Cleveland's pitching to hang up seven.
The Guardians' bullpen couldn't slam the door when it mattered, and that one-run gap was the difference. Getaway-day baseball at Progressive Field, and the visitors flew home a game over .500.
