Chicago White SoxvsDetroit Tigers
CHW 7/DET 5
Things to say
The Chicago White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 7-5 on the road at Comerica Park.
01
opener
White Sox took it 7-5 in Detroit. Road bats showed up and never really gave it back. Solid getaway-day win.
02
key player
The heart of the Sox order carried it. A couple of them left the yard and that was the ballgame.
03
hot take
Tigers are under .500 for a reason. That bullpen keeps handing games away.
04
deep cut
Detroit's manager went to the pen too early and it cost them the middle innings. Momentum flipped right there.
05
exit
Sox are rolling at 65-58. I want to see if they can keep it going next series.
The recap
The White Sox went into Comerica and walked out with a 7-5 win, flipping the script on a Tigers team that just can't get out of its own way lately. Chicago's bats kept the pressure on all afternoon, and Detroit's pen couldn't slam the door when it mattered.
This one felt like a getaway-day grind, but the Sox landed enough punches through the heart of the order to stay in front. At 65-58, Chicago's quietly putting together a season nobody saw coming.
