The NL Central nightcap also has teeth: the Chicago Cubs head to American Family Field to face the Milwaukee Brewers, who at 49-29 are the hottest team in that division and are favored so heavily that the over-under is sitting at just seven — expect both managers to lean on their starters and keep the pen in the bullpen as long as possible.

WNBA The game to watch tonight is the Atlanta Dream rolling into Chase Center to take on the Golden State Valkyries — two of the hottest teams in the WNBA right now, with Atlanta sitting at 12-5 and the Valkyries right behind them at 11-7, so somebody's going to take an L in what should be a real battle in the paint. The Dream are a slight road favorite at minus-1.5, which tells you Vegas respects Golden State enough to keep this tight, and with the over/under sitting at just 164.5 this one could come down to who can hit buckets late. If you want a second game to track, Indiana Fever (10-8) host the Los Angeles Sparks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on CBS — Fever are laying 6.5 points and that over/under of 178.5 suggests both squads can flat-out score, so expect some fireworks there too.

World Cup The match of the day is Portugal against Colombia at Hard Rock Stadium, where an unbeaten Colombia side — six points from six, not a goal conceded — face a Portugal team that cannot afford another slip if they want to reach the knockout rounds. Spain have their own must-win situation against an already-eliminated Uruguay at Estadio Akron, and a nil-nil draw there would likely be enough to send the Spaniards home despite their pedigree. The subplot worth following is Belgium against New Zealand in Vancouver: Belgium have been absolutely shambolic across their first two matches, somehow losing both as heavy favorites, and this is their last chance to avoid one of the most embarrassing group-stage exits the tournament has ever seen.
