WNBA The marquee game tonight is Phoenix Mercury at Minnesota Lynx on Peacock, and the Lynx are absolutely rolling at 17-6 — the Mercury at 8-16 are going to have to find some buckets in a hurry against that Minnesota defense or this one gets ugly fast. Earlier, Atlanta Dream host the Los Angeles Sparks as heavy 9.5-point favorites, and a Dream team playing that well at home should eat them up if they're moving the ball in the paint. Keep an eye on the Connecticut Sun and Portland Fire tomorrow morning — that spread is basically a coin flip at CON -1.5, which tells you all you need to know about where both those rosters are at right now.

World Cup The marquee fixture today is Spain taking on France in the FIFA World Cup at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, with kickoff at 3 PM Eastern on FOX — two of Europe's most technically gifted sides going toe-to-toe with a place in the next round on the line. Spain have been brilliant in possession all tournament, threading through balls into dangerous areas, while France carry the threat of a clinical counterattack that can punish any team that leaves space in behind. If either keeper is busy pulling off saves to preserve a clean sheet, this one could easily drag into extra time, so clear your afternoon.
