Right now the Pirates and Reds are already midway through in Cincinnati, tied up in a close one that could come down to which manager blinks first with his bullpen.

MLS The marquee slate closes with the Cascadia derby, Seattle Sounders FC traveling to face the Portland Timbers, always a hostile atmosphere with bragging rights on the line regardless of table position. Earlier, watch Nashville SC visit D.C. United, with Nashville sitting near the top of the East looking to keep pace, while Sporting Kansas City hosts Houston Dynamo FC in a match Sporting badly needs after a rough season. Don't sleep on Inter Miami CF hosting Columbus Crew either, Miami's high-powered attack against a Crew side that will need a well-organized defense to avoid conceding an early sitter.

WNBA The marquee tilt is Las Vegas Aces at Chicago Sky, with the 20-8 Aces chasing buckets against a Sky team that's just trying to keep the L column from piling up further. Keep an eye on New York Liberty at Phoenix Mercury too, a near pick-em on the spread where the Mercury will need someone to catch fire in the paint if they want to avoid taking the L at home. Elsewhere, Indiana Fever at Portland Fire is worth a glance if you want to see whether Indiana's guards can splash from deep and put this one away early with a dagger or two down the stretch.
