Also keep an eye on Marlins-Mets, where Miami is already lighting it up in the late innings against a Mets club buried in the standings, and Brewers-Angels, a getaway day matchup where Milwaukee's southpaw-heavy staff could make it a short night for the Angels' offense. If either starter can't work deep into the game, watch for the manager going to the pen too early and a walk-off swinging the whole broadcast conversation.

MLS The night's marquee draw is the Cascadia derby, Seattle Sounders FC visiting Portland Timbers, always a spicy one even when neither side is exactly setting the league alight this season. Elsewhere Nashville SC, sitting near the top of the table, head to D.C. United as heavy favorites and will be looking to avoid a shambolic slip-up against a struggling side, while Inter Miami CF host a shaky Columbus Crew back line that should give their attack plenty of sitters. Keep an eye on San Diego FC at Minnesota United too, a tight affair that could easily end nil-nil if neither keeper puts a foot wrong.

WNBA Marquee game is the Indiana Fever heading into Target Center to face the Minnesota Lynx, who've been putting on an absolute clinic all season at 24-6 and are favored by 6.5 to keep their claim on the top seed. Nightcap belongs to the Toronto Tempo trying to steal one off the Golden State Valkyries, who've got buckets for days and a double-digit spread backing them at home. Watch Dallas too, they're a home favorite by 11.5 over a Connecticut Sun team that just can't buy a bucket this year and has taken the L in way too many of these.
