WNBA The marquee game on this slate is Indiana Fever at Las Vegas Aces tonight on NBC — two of the better teams in the league going at it, and the Aces (16-6) have been an absolute clinic all season, so the Fever (13-9) need to bring buckets if they want to avoid taking the L in Vegas. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces are currently in the process of eating the Phoenix Mercury alive in tonight's earlier game, up 56-20 at halftime, which tells you everything about the gap between those two squads right now. Tomorrow's slate also has Dallas Wings hosting the Chicago Sky on ESPN, with the Wings installed as heavy favorites at -9.5, and New York Liberty heading up to Toronto to face the expansion Tempo — the Liberty (13-10) need that win to stay in the mix in the standings.

World Cup The marquee match tonight is England against Norway in what has become a thriller at Hard Rock Stadium — the sides are level at one goal apiece through ninety minutes and are now into extra time, so someone has to find the net or this goes to penalties. England came in as favorites but could not hold a clean sheet, and Norway will fancy their chances of pulling off a result if this heads to spot kicks. Later tonight, defending champions Argentina host Switzerland at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, with Lionel Messi's side heavy favorites to advance, though the Swiss are never easy to break down and a nil-nil draw deep into the night is not out of the question.
