MLB The marquee game tonight is the Los Angeles Dodgers heading into Yankee Stadium to face the New York Yankees on NBC/Peacock — the best record in baseball against one of the AL's top clubs, with the over/under sitting at 9, so expect the heart of both orders to get into their stuff early. Meanwhile, keep an eye on the bottom of the eighth at Chase Field, where the St. Louis Cardinals are clinging to a 7-5 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks and the bullpen is earning its keep right now. Tomorrow's getaway-day card is loaded too, headlined by the Dodgers again at Citizens Bank Park against the Philadelphia Phillies, who get the nod as slight favorites at home in what could be a deep-starter, low-walk-rate kind of pitchers' duel given the 8-run total.

WNBA The marquee game on Monday's WNBA slate is the New York Liberty riding into Dallas as 3.5-point road favorites against the Wings, who actually own the better record at 17-8 — Vegas is saying the Liberty have just been dropping buckets and Dallas can't stop them even at home. Out west, the Minnesota Lynx (20-6, best record in the league) close out the night at Seattle, and with the Storm sitting at 6-21, this one has all the makings of an absolute clinic before the fourth quarter even tips off. Keep an eye on the Golden State Valkyries too — at 19-7 and hosting the Washington Mystics at Chase Center, that late window could get ugly in the paint real fast.
