MLB The marquee matchup is Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres, where the Brewers roll into Petco Park with the best record in baseball and the Padres need every edge in the bullpen to keep pace in a stacked NL playoff picture. Also keep an eye on New York Mets at Atlanta Braves, a lopsided line but the kind of divisional tilt where a starter going seven quiets the heart of the order fast. Philadelphia Phillies at St. Louis Cardinals rounds out the night as a sneaky high-OBP affair that could easily come down to a walk-off if the manager goes to the pen too early.

WNBA The marquee slate is New York Liberty at Indiana Fever, with the Fever nudged as home favorites but the Liberty right behind them in the standings, so this one's basically a playoff-seeding tussle with buckets on both ends. Don't sleep on Washington Mystics at Las Vegas Aces either, where the Aces are favored big and could put on an absolute clinic if their stars get going early. Chicago Sky at Seattle Storm is the least glamorous name on the board, but Seattle's been getting ate up all season, so watch for Chicago to keep splashing threes and pile onto the L column.
